Bid Manager – Legal Sector Newcastle Full Time | Hybrid/Flexible Working Available Salary: Competitive + Benefits About the Role As the Bid Manager, you’ll lead the full bid, proposal, and tender lifecycle from initial request through to submission and post-pitch feedback. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, partners, and legal teams to produce persuasive, high-quality content that wins business and enhances our brand. You’ll also coordinate and submit annual legal directory submissions (Legal 500 UK and Chambers & Partners), playing a crucial role in the firm’s strategic profile and reputation. Key Responsibilities * Lead end-to-end management of bids, tenders, and proposals. * Create compelling and client-focused submissions that reflect the firm’s strengths. * Oversee and deliver legal directory submissions to drive rankings improvement. * Collaborate with lawyers, partners, and the BD team to align on messaging and strategy. * Coach legal teams on pitch best practices, tender writing, and presentation skills. * Analyse bid performance to refine future strategies and increase win rates. * Support pricing strategies with the finance team and contribute to client retention. * Identify PR and marketing opportunities from client feedback and successful submissions. Who We're Looking For You’ll be an experienced, confident communicator with a proven track record in bid/proposal writing and project management, ideally within professional services or legal. Essential Skills & Experience: * Degree educated (Business, Marketing, English, PR or related field). * Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail. * Excellent stakeholder management and influencing ability. * Knowledge of legal sector tendering and directory submissions (desirable). * Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of InDesign, Canva, or Better Proposals a bonus. * CRM and marketing systems experience preferred. * Comfortable working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
