With around 1,000 employees, this organisation is dedicated to empowering individuals and supporting business growth through high-quality training and development. We are looking for an experienced Bid & Project Manager to lead the end-to-end bid process across public and private sector opportunities in the construction skills and education sector. You will drive strategic bid development, ensure competitive submissions, and oversee smooth mobilisation into delivery. This role involves working closely with internal partners, senior stakeholders, and operational teams to coordinate activities and deliver successful outcomes nationwide. Key Responsibilities Bid Strategy & Management Identify tender opportunities across public and private sectors. Lead the full bid lifecycle: qualification, viability, strategy, writing, review, and submission. Produce persuasive, compliant bid content, including executive summaries, pricing, and value propositions. Aim for strong win rates across construction skills-related bids.Cross-Functional Coordination Collaborate with curriculum, finance, HR, legal, and delivery teams. Lead and motivate multi-disciplinary bid teams, ensuring compliance with governance processes. Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Compliance, Quality & Risk Ensure bids meet client requirements, compliance frameworks, and organisational policies. Assess bid risks and viability prior to submission. Monitor key metrics, including quality, win rate, and pipeline activity.Mobilisation & Transition Lead mobilisation post-award, overseeing handovers, stakeholder alignment, resourcing, and system setup. Act as the main point of contact for clients during mobilisation stages.Continuous Improvement Conduct bid debriefs and implement lessons learned. Monitor procurement trends, funding changes, and sector developments. Support team capability building, succession planning, and professional development.What We’re Looking For Proven experience managing bids in public and/or private sectors. Track record in skills, education, or training sector bids. Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills. Experience with full end-to-end bid process including mobilisation. Ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams effectively. Attention to detail and excellent written communication skills. Knowledge of skills funding, procurement systems, and tender frameworks. Strong networking and relationship-building abilities. Evidence of successful bid win rates Desirable Project management or bid-related qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2).
