Hours and Set Up Monday to Friday fully onsite, with flexible working hours: 08:00–16:00, 08:30–16:30, or 09:00–17:00 About the Role Anderson Knight are recruiting a Bid Writer to join our client within the civil engineering sector. This role involves preparing high-quality bids and proposals for tenders while ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Bid Writing: * Prepare tailored, high-quality bid submissions in response to client tenders and proposals. * Ensure bid compliance with client specifications, ensuring on-time delivery. * Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and key stakeholders to gather necessary information. * Develop persuasive content that highlights the company’s capabilities, experience, and strengths. * Review and refine submissions for clarity, consistency, and quality. * Manage the full bid process, including preparation, submission, and post-submission follow-up. * Assist in internal audits and reviews, ensuring compliance with industry standards and health and safety regulations. * Coordinate with departments to ensure adherence to quality assurance procedures and maintain accurate records. * Monitor project performance for alignment with contractual and quality standards. * Identify and implement quality improvement initiatives. * Maintain accurate records of all bid and quality-related documentation. Administrative Support: * Assist with the preparation and submission of prequalification documents and other administrative tasks. * Prepare reports and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders. * Manage the filing, organisation, and archiving of bid and quality-related documents. Key Requirements * Proven experience in bid writing or proposal preparation, preferably in the construction, civil engineering, or plant hire industries. * Strong understanding of the bid process and experience in preparing successful tender submissions. * Familiarity with quality management systems and industry standards. * Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to create clear, compelling, and concise documents. * Strong organisational and time-management skills, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously. * Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines. * High attention to detail and accuracy. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and bid management software. * Knowledge of construction industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001) is preferred. Desirable Skills & Experience * A degree or qualification in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field. * Experience with tender portals and electronic bid submission systems. * Knowledge of the plant hire industry and related regulations. * Experience in project management or quality assurance within the construction sector.
