Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 pa dependent on experience
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time
Are you an experienced Bid Writer with a background in drainage, utilities, or similar? Vector Recruitment Solutions are working on behalf of a specialist drainage services provider to recruit a skilled Bid Writer to join their team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in securing new business for a company that delivers essential services across liquid waste disposal, sewer clearance, septic tank emptying, hazardous waste removal, high-pressure jetting, and drainage surveying.
The Role
As a Bid Writer, you will:
Write and develop high-quality responses for PQQs, ITTs, and frameworks
Work with operational, technical, and commercial teams to gather accurate project information
Produce clear, persuasive, and compliant submissions that reflect company expertise
Manage deadlines, ensuring submissions are delivered on time and to a high standard
Maintain and update bid libraries, templates, and supporting documents
The Ideal Candidate
Proven bid writing experience in drainage, utilities, or a related industry
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce persuasive content
Experience preparing bids for frameworks and portals such as Proactis
Good understanding of drainage services (e.g., jetting, surveying, tankering) would be advantageous
Highly organised with strong time management skills
Confident liaising with cross-functional teams to gather technical input
What’s on Offer
£45,000 - £55,000 pa
Work from home, there may be occasional travel required to operational depots (South Coast to Yorkshire)
