Billing, Collections & Retention Specialist
Location: West Midlands (Hybrid - 2-3 days in office)
Salary: Up to £40,000 per year + benefits
Job type: Full-time, permanent
We're hiring on behalf of a dynamic, growing UK business that's looking for a Billing, Collections & Retention Specialist to join its Finance Operations team.
This is a hands-on role covering billing, collections, renewals, and customer service. You'll play a key part in ensuring customers are billed correctly, payments are collected on time, and relationships are maintained positively throughout the customer lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Create and issue invoices and credit notes accurately and promptly.
Manage overdue payments and maintain strong cashflow through effective credit control.
Act as a main point of contact for billing and renewals queries.
Support customer retention through proactive renewals and dispute resolution.
Complete account reconciliations and assist with financial reporting.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in billing, credit control, or finance administration.
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
