An inclusive and forward-thinking secondary school in Reading is seeking a committed Biology Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join their high-performing Science faculty this September. Biology Department
Biology is a popular and successful subject at both GCSE and A-Level. The department offers well-equipped laboratories, specialist teaching support, and a dedicated technician team. You will teach general Science at KS3 and specialise in Biology at KS4, with potential for KS5 teaching as you develop. The department values creativity, experimentation, and real-world application of biology.
Your Role
You will plan and deliver engaging Biology lessons that promote critical thinking, scientific method, and core curriculum knowledge. You’ll also participate in intervention sessions, science clubs, and departmental meetings, as well as receive full mentoring through your ECT years.
