Location: Reading, Berkshire Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: MPS/UPS An outstanding secondary school in Reading is seeking a dedicated Biology Teacher to join their vibrant Science Department for September 2025. This role offers an exciting opportunity to teach Biology across KS3, KS4, and KS5 within a highly supportive and resource-rich environment. Role Summary * Deliver engaging Biology lessons across all key stages, preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations with a focus on practical and theoretical understanding. * Use innovative teaching methods, including lab-based experiments, digital resources, and fieldwork to bring Biology to life. * Inspire students to develop scientific curiosity, critical thinking, and a passion for the natural world. * Support the wider Science curriculum, including collaborative projects and STEM enrichment activities. * Participate actively in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and cross-curricular initiatives. Candidate Profile * A Biology degree with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a genuine passion for teaching. * Strong knowledge of the GCSE and A-Level Biology curriculum with experience in assessment and differentiation. * Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities. * A team player who is eager to contribute to the school’s thriving Science department and wider school life.
