Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW We are currently looking for a Biomolecular NMR Spectroscopist to join a leading pharmaceutical company based in the Cambridge, UK area. As the Biomolecular NMR Spectroscopist, you will be responsible for providing NMR support for a proprietary fragment-based drug discovery (FBDD) platform, focusing on oncology and CNS targets. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Your duties as the Biomolecular NMR Spectroscopist will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows: 1. Develop ligand- and protein-observed NMR assays. 2. Perform NMR-based fragment screening and validate and characterise hits. 3. Use NMR to generate high-quality data on protein–ligand interactions, including affinity, kinetics, and mechanism of action. 4. Express and purify isotopically labelled protein samples. ROLE REQUIREMENTS: To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Biomolecular NMR Spectroscopist, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history: 1. Relevant degree in a scientific discipline. 2. Proven industry experience in protein NMR spectroscopy. 3. A working knowledge and practical experience with Bruker NMR spectrometers.
