Job Description
Blackpool Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Community Mental Health Team for Older Adults on a part-time basis (18 hours per week) for an initial period of 8 weeks.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-established, integrated health and social care team, delivering high-quality, person-centred services to older adults experiencing mental health difficulties and their carers.

Key Responsibilities
Undertake multi-disciplinary needs and risk assessments, care planning, and reviews in line with the Care Act 2014.
Provide ongoing social work support and intervention for older adults with mental health needs and their carers.
Work collaboratively within a co-located, multi-disciplinary team, promoting an integrated and person-centred approach.
Contribute to service planning, delivery, and development, supporting continuous improvement across mental health services.
Ensure all practice complies with relevant legislation, local procedures, and safeguarding policies.
Requirements
Qualified Social Worker (Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW or equivalent).
Current registration with Social Work England.
Experience working with adults with mental health needs, ideally within older adult services.
Good understanding of mental health legislation and the Care Act 2014.
Excellent communication, assessment, and partnership-working skills.
