💰 Rate: £350 per day

About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced BMS Commissioning Engineer for a major building services project in Birmingham. The successful candidate will take a lead role in the commissioning, testing, and optimisation of BMS systems on a high-spec commercial development.
This is a contract position ideal for someone who is confident working independently while coordinating closely with a professional team.
Key Responsibilities
Commissioning of BMS systems (Trend, Tridium, or similar platforms)
Performing point-to-point checks, functional testing, and system validation
Diagnosing and resolving technical issues
Producing commissioning reports and documentation
Supporting final handover and client demonstrations
Liaising with project teams, subcontractors, and consultants
Requirements
Proven experience commissioning BMS systems on commercial projects
Hands-on knowledge of Trend, Tridium Niagara, or similar platforms
Ability to interpret control schematics and technical drawings
Familiarity with HVAC control strategies and sequences
ECS or CSCS card
Eligible to work in the UK
Desirable
Manufacturer-specific training (e.g., Trend, Tridium, Siemens, etc.)
BCIA modules
SSSTS / SMSTS
PASMA or IPAF
