BMS Engineer (Mobile Role – Surrey)

Salary: £51,000
Monday – Friday
Covering properties across Surrey

The Role

An established and growing property services organisation is seeking an experienced BMS Engineer to join their mobile engineering team, covering a portfolio of high-quality residential and commercial properties across Surrey.

This is a field-based role, ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, variety, and working across multiple sites, ensuring building systems operate at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities

  * Carry out daily service checks and monitor BMS systems across multiple properties

  * Diagnose faults and replace components including actuators, controllers, valves, and control modules

  * Download and update system software where required

  * Calibrate BMS controls to ensure optimal system performance

  * Identify faulty parts, manage spares, and coordinate replacements

  * Liaise with and supervise specialist contractors on-site

  * Deliver both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs

  * Maintain accurate service records, reports, and job sheets

  * Ensure full compliance with health & safety standards and company procedures

Requirements

  * Strong experience working with BMS systems such as Trend, Tridium, or similar platforms

  * Proven background in BMS installation, maintenance, and fault finding

  * Experience with electrical systems, including 3-phase, VSDs, and PLCs

  * Knowledge of preventative maintenance and system audits

  * 18th Edition (BS7671) or equivalent electrical qualification

  * Ability to manage workload independently in a mobile role

  * Strong reporting and administrative skills

  * Full UK driving licence (essential)
