Join a technology-driven team transforming building operations!
We are seeking a proactive RCC Operative to monitor, analyse, and optimise building systems remotely. Using Building Management Systems (BMS), Fault Detection & Diagnostics (FDD) platforms, and IoT telemetry, you’ll execute first-line interventions and support on-site teams to maintain peak performance, reduce energy consumption, and enhance occupant comfort.
Key Responsibilities
Real-Time Monitoring & Issue Identification
Monitor BMS, HVAC, lighting, and IoT systems for anomalies and inefficiencies.
Triage and resolve first-stage issues, escalating when necessary.
Analyse telemetry to maintain optimal environmental conditions.
Workflow Triage & ClosureLog, prioritise, and manage RCC service requests.
Ensure timely closure of tickets in line with SLAs.
Verify action completion and provide stakeholder feedback.
Reporting & Impact Analysis
Produce clear reports detailing interventions, actions, and closures.
Quantify RCC impact: response time, resolution, energy savings, and improved system performance.
Track recurring issues to support continuous improvement.
Remote Intervention & Coordination
Apply remote interventions to correct system inefficiencies.
Coordinate with on-site teams and contractors for complex issues.
Maintain accurate records for compliance and reporting.
Performance Optimisation & Continuous Improvement
Adjust and fine-tune FDD rules to optimise site performance.
Recommend control strategy enhancements to reduce energy waste.
Contribute to continuous commissioning initiatives and RCC playbooks.
IoT & Smart Building Support
Assist with IoT device integration and troubleshooting.
Support smart building technology deployments.
Compliance & Security
Follow change control processes for BMS and smart system adjustments.
Ensure data integrity, cybersecurity, and operational compliance.
Maintain accurate audit trails.
Skills & Knowledge Required
Working knowledge of BMS (Trend, Tridium Niagara, or similar).
Familiarity with FDD platforms and IoT telemetry systems.
Understanding of HVAC, lighting, and critical building services.
Experience monitoring, maintaining, or optimising building systems.
Ability to analyse building performance data to identify inefficiencies.
Knowledge of energy efficiency and sustainability principles.
Strong written/verbal communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications
Essential:
City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Foundational training in BMS operations or building services controls.
Basic knowledge of energy management principles.
Desirable:
Smart Building or BMS certifications (Trend IQ Vision, Niagara Framework).
Awareness of ISO 50001, NABERS, BREEAM, or LEED standards.
Cybersecurity training for building systems.
