Full Time - BMS Service Engineer £45,000 - £70,000 + Car Allowance / Travel Allowance + Benefits London Position Overview: As an BMS Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role representing the company on customer premises delivering operational excellence. As standard you will ensure that the needs and expectations of the customer are met on every occasion, and that they receive a positive experience of our company. Your strong knowledge of engineering principles, excellent problem-solving abilities, and exceptional communication skills will be essential in performing service agreement and tasks at customer sites to ensure that the relevant building control systems are properly maintained and operating correctly and is also required to provide effective energy solutions to the customer by providing energy efficiency advice and recommending products and services that meet the needs of the customer. Thus, contributing to company profitability and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities: * Operate in the field ensuring safe working practices are always followed. * Ensure the highest safety and quality standards are met and that personal and customer safety is always maintained, paying attention to detail. And all work adheres to the company safety rules/statutory regulations/customer requirements. * Undertake preventative maintenance and diagnostics on appropriate control systems and components in accordance with the service level agreement. Tests, adjusts and verifies system readings ensuring an optimal system operation. * Ensure all service reports are submitted to clients within agreed company performance targets covering all aspects of each assignment and activity, whilst on site. Submitting timesheets and other necessary information weekly. * Ensure that all documentation is kept up to date for each contract. * Responds to customer service calls (emergency, on-site, or remotely). Carries out fault finding on controls systems. Diagnoses the problem or defect, determines corrective action and repairs the system. * Take the lead and own customer escalation issues through to resolution. * Be flexible and willing to work additional hours to meet project/support deadlines or as needs dictate. * Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and kept in good working order, ensuring constant availability to meet customers’ needs. * Establish a good working relationship with all customers and differentiate our business through the delivery of exceptional customer service by listening and responding to customer needs and concerns and taking ownership of the situation. Ensure expectations have been met and the customer is fully satisfied with the work prior to departure. * Produces field quotes for additional chargeable opportunities whilst on site, identifies additional opportunities including, system extensions, upgrades and service contract expansion. * Positively engage customers on the features and benefits of their control systems, ensuring its functionality are understood and identify and recommend the products and services that may benefit the customer and meet business requirements. * Recognise the importance of procedures and processes and adhere to these to deliver a high standard of customer service * Frequently interface and communicate with customers to assist with account development * Liaise with internal colleagues to co-ordinate end-to-end delivery of customer service * Work confidently within a pressurised environment, multi-tasking between the different operational disciplines * Knowledge of energy management initiatives to provide relevant energy efficiency advice to the customer. Be fully aware of the environmental impact of energy consumption on the environment and able to articulate to the customer the impact and benefits of increasing energy efficiency and reducing energy consumption. * Contributes to growth and productivity targets set by the business. * Be aware of and comply upcoming ISO quality management system including all applicable quality procedures.
