Vehicle Body Repair Technician - Tewkesbury

Salary: Negotiable pending experience.
Hours: 40-hour week. 8:00am-5:00pm Monday to Friday with some flexibility on start/finish times.Due to expansion, our client, a long-established automotive accident repair centre primarily specialising in motorhomes and caravans, is currently looking to hire a Vehicle Body Repair Technician to join their business in Tewkesbury.
 
 Reporting to the General Manager as part of a friendly workshop team working with a variety of customer vehicles, including caravans, motorhomes, horse boxes, vans, and other vehicles, your key responsibilities will include:

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as required.
Mix paint to match the vehicle colour and apply it using spray guns and other equipment.
Repair and reseal damp areas.
The successful candidate must be able to repair fibreglass, plastic & aluminium.
If suitably experienced, carry out additional body repairs such as panel, MET, or habitation.
Work with other team members to meet deadlines and deliver exceptional results.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring that health and safety procedures and guidelines are being followed at all times.To be eligible, you will need to have current or recent experience working as a Vehicle Body Repair Technician. Formal qualifications in vehicle body repair/paint spraying would be desirable; however, our client is willing to consider candidates with strong "on-the-job" experience that can work to their meticulous standards. Overall, you will have a good eye for detail, be a team player with good communication skills, have an aptitude for multitasking, and have a UK driving license with minimal points. Any experience in motorhome/caravan body repair would be highly advantageous; however is non-essential.
