Job Description

Sue Ross Recruitment are seeking a proactive, detail-orientated bookkeeper to join a thriving finance team within the UK’s market leader in audio visual services. This hands-on position ensures the accuracy and integrity of our clients’ day-to-day financial operations and supports collaboration across internal departments, particularly Customer Success. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-moving team where your contributions will have a direct impact on business efficiency and decision-making. Key Responsibilities Include: Accounts Payable (AP) * Process supplier invoices and credit notes accurately and promptly * Manage the AP inbox, responding to and resolving supplier queries * Prepare supplier payment runs according to agreed terms Accounts Receivable (AR) * Generate and issue customer invoices and credit notes * Monitor aged debtor reports and collaborate with the Customer Success team to reduce overdue balances * Accurately allocate customer payments in Xero * Follow up on overdue invoices professionally and persistently Bank & Cash Management * Conduct regular bank reconciliations in Xero * Reconcile company purchasing card transactions, ensuring accurate coding and supporting documentation * Manage staff expense claims, ensuring policy compliance and proper authorisation * Support monthly payment run processes General Finance Support * Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records * Contribute to the month-end close and reporting activities * Collaborate with the wider team to improve financial processes and internal controls * Provide ad hoc support to the Finance Manager and Finance Director as required * Communicate effectively with stakeholders across the business * Actively contribute to a collaborative and adaptable team environment Required Experience * Proven experience in bookkeeping * Strong working knowledge of Xero * Industry background is flexible – relevant experience is the primary requirement The ideal candidate will be highly organised and detail-focused with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work. They must be proactive and persistent in following through on tasks, as well as capable of managing time and juggling multiple priorities effectively.
