Bookkeeper | Full Time hours | Onsite | Nottingham | £28,000
Astute Recruitment are recruiting for a Bookkeeper on behalf of our client based in Nottingham.
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team on a full-time, fully onsite basis at their office in Nottingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong bookkeeping experience who enjoys working with a diverse portfolio of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for multiple clients across various industries
* Manage both accounts payable and receivable ledgers
* Prepare, review, and submit VAT returns
* Process CIS returns and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
* Assist with the early stages of accounts preparation
* Liaise with clients, resolving queries and providing financial insights
* Work across multiple bookkeeping software packages (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, etc.)
Requirements:
* Proven bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice or in a role handling multiple company accounts
* Proficiency in using multiple bookkeeping software packages (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, etc.)
* Strong knowledge of VAT regulations and CIS returns
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Strong communication skills with a client-focused approach
* AAT qualification or equivalent experience (desirable)Before You Apply
