Job Description
An Accountancy Practice based in Scarborough are currently recruiting for a Bookkeeper to join their growing team on a permanent, full-time basis. On offer is a competitive salary of £27,000 – £32,000 (depending on experience) plus benefits package.
As a Bookkeeper you will be:
Accurately maintaining bookkeeping records across a varied client portfolio
Handling invoice processing, bank reconciliations, and supplier/customer account management
Preparing and filing VAT returns in line with HMRC requirements
Developing strong client relationships and resolving queries with confidence and professionalism
Providing support across the wider practice as neededTo be successful in this Bookkeeper role, you will ideally have/be:
Proven experience in bookkeeping (practice experience preferred, but not essential)
AAT qualified, studying towards, or equivalent hands-on knowledge (QBE)
Skilled in using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks
High level of accuracy, with strong organisational skills and clear communicationThis fantastic opportunity is easily commutable from Filey, Bridlington, Malton, Whitby, Pickering, and the wider North Yorkshire area. The practice offers free on-site parking, and the Scarborough office is also accessible by public transport.
