Job Description
Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking a Casual Bowling Assistant to work with Darlington Borough Council on a temporary basis. This is a part-time role working 10 hours per week on a rotating basis.
Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to work in the five-lane bowling alley at the Dolphin Centre. The role is about more than just bowling — it’s about delivering fun, memorable experiences for customers of all ages, from parties and celebrations to casual games. Full training will be provided, and as this is a casual role, you’ll have flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
Main Duties
* Welcoming customers and providing excellent customer service
* Taking bookings and assisting with party/event organisation
* Serving food and beverages, including the sale of alcohol (must be aged 18+)
* Handling cash and processing transactions accurately
* Carrying out light mechanical repairs and basic maintenance on bowling equipment
* Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the bowling alley
Essential Criteria
* Must be 18 years or older
* Strong customer service skills – approachable, friendly, and professional
* Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
* Reliable, with good communication and organisational skills
