Rhodium Consulting are delighted to be working with an established and growing independent business within the timber and building supplies sector, who are looking for a talented Branch Manager to take charge of their thriving Cheltenham branch.

The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an ambitious and motivated individual to manage all aspects of branch operations. You’ll lead a knowledgeable and enthusiastic team, ensuring smooth day-to-day running while driving growth, profitability, and outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and inspire a team of 8 staff, overseeing recruitment, training, performance, and development.
* Drive sales growth and meet branch targets through effective commercial management.
* Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
* Oversee stock control, order processing, and delivery schedules to guarantee efficient service.
* Ensure compliance with company procedures, financial controls, and health & safety standards.
* Manage cash handling and ensure accuracy in sales and reporting.
* Maintain vehicles, machinery, and site equipment in line with legal and operational requirements.
* Represent the branch in the local community through partnerships, sponsorships, and events.
About You
* Proven experience in a Branch Manager, Assistant Branch Manager, or Team Leader role within the building materials, timber, or merchanting sector.
* A natural leader with excellent communication, motivation, and organizational skills.
* Commercially aware, with a good understanding of P&L and budgeting (training provided).
* Competent IT user, ideally with experience of ERP systems (e.g., Epicor, BisTrack).
* Hands-on, proactive, and customer-focused, with the ability to lead by example.
