Breakfast and After School Club Leader ( - (Full-time, Temporary, 30 Hours per week) Newcastle Upon Tyne £17,473-£18,036 per annum (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications) September 2025 – July 2026 The School and Role A Primary School based in Newcastle Upon Tyne are seeking to employ a Breakfast and After School Club Lead to support their new wraparound provision. The successful candidate will be expected to work  from 07:30-09:00 and 15:00-18:00 each day (followed by 7.5 additional hours to be done throughout the school day). The role will be to manage the club, supporting pupils from EYFS-KS2, by supervising and implementing the programme. Requirements The desired Teaching Assistant will: Advise, support and assist the Head Teacher in the development of an effective programme of activities ensuring appropriate equipment, facilities and services are available. Supervise the work of the Breakfast/After School Club Assistant(s). Undertake activities with pupils that promote the development of intellectual, moral, spiritual and social skills. Respond to the practical needs of children where there is an identified special educational need. Provide general care and welfare by responding appropriately to the social, emotional and physical needs of pupils. Assist in the control of income and expenditure for the Breakfast/After School Club ensuring relevant records are maintained. Promote and implement the School’s Equality Policy in all aspects of employment and service delivery. Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people he or she is responsible for or comes into contact with. Assist in maintaining a healthy, safe and secure environment and act in accordance with the school’s policies and procedures. Hold a Level 3 Teaching Qualification or above.
