Full time| September Start| 5 Days Per Week | Primary SEN | 1:1 Support Role

Are you available to start immediately in a flexible, part-time role?Sanza Teaching is seeking a skilled and compassionate BSL Teaching Assistant to work at an outstanding primary school in Wandsworth, Southwest London. This is a Full-time role, where you will be working 1:1 with a child who has complex needs and is profoundly deaf. Your BSL expertise will be essential, as this is the student's primary means of communication.
Key Details:
September Start
5 days per week (Full-time)
Location: Wandsworth
Working hours: 8:30am - 3:30/4:00pm
BSL Level 2 or above required
Experience with ASD and complex needs preferred
Pay: £90 - £110 per dayYour Role Will Involve:
Providing 1:1 support to a student with complex needs who is hearing impaired.
Using British Sign Language (BSL) to communicate and support learning.
Helping the student engage with classroom activities and interact with peers.
Supporting their emotional, social, and academic development.
Liaising with teachers, SENCOs, and specialists to ensure consistency in care and progress.
Relaying BSL communication between the student and non-signing staff or pupils.What You'll Need to Succeed:
British Sign Language (BSL) qualification - Level 2 or above
Experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly ASD and/or hearing impairments
Confidence in using BSL as a primary communication tool
Strong interpersonal skills and an empathetic approach
Ability to adapt to different learning styles and individual needs
A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)What the School Offers:
