Fox Morris Group are working to recruit a Brokerage Officer
The role:
The Brokerage Officer sources services to meet customer outcomes identified with social care colleagues and the customer. Working as part of a team, the role ensures best value for the council by understanding sourcing requirements, maximising resources, and securing value-for-money services.
The officer works closely with operational teams, commissioners, colleagues, and providers to ensure care is sourced appropriately, processes and timescales are met, and decisions deliver best value. The role requires initiative, resilience, and the confidence to challenge to strengthen procurement and the centralised brokerage function, supporting informed decision-making.
Our hybrid working model means office staff are on site for at least half their hours, community-based staff carry out at least half their admin time in a workplace, and customer facing roles work entirely from their service location.
Experience:
* High level of relevant and practical experience acquired on the job.
* An advanced understanding of relevant procedures and working practices. Advanced knowledge of specialist function relevant to service area.
* Excellent ICT skills including use of Microsoft applications and specialist systems Experience in showing tact and diplomacy to deal with conflicting requirements or opinions and the ability to make decisions on the most appropriate action to reach an acceptable conclusion.
* Ability to interpret and analyse statistical and numerical data, drawing conclusions from the data to inform decision making.
* Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads and achieve deadlines.
* Budget monitoring/ financial processing at an appropriate level for the role.
