Contract: Part-time & Long-term
Hours: Monday to Friday (flexible part-time options available)
Pay: £100-£120 per day PAYE (depending on experience)

About the Role
SANZA Teaching Agency is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant with British Sign Language (BSL) skills to join a primary school with a dedicated deaf provision in Islington. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact by supporting deaf pupils in accessing the curriculum, developing confidence, and achieving their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with hearing impairments across the primary age range.
Use BSL confidently and fluently to facilitate communication and learning.
Work collaboratively with the class teacher, Teacher of the Deaf, and SENCO to deliver adapted lessons.
Support children's social, emotional, and academic development.
Help create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
Requirements
A recognised BSL qualification (minimum Level 2; Level 3+ preferred).
Previous experience working with deaf or hearing-impaired pupils.
Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
A patient, proactive, and flexible approach to supporting SEND learners.
