Building Control Surveyor
£50,000 - £60,000 + Car or Car allowance
Location: Newcastle
I'm working with a nationally recognised Approved Inspector who are growing their technical team. They're looking for a Building Control Surveyor to take ownership of residential projects-typically up to 11 metres in height-working closely with clients from plan check to final certification.

Maintain and grow your professional standing with structured CPDWhat you'll be doing:
Reviewing residential development plans for Building Regulation compliance
Conducting site inspections and maintaining detailed records
Issuing initial notices, certificates, and final sign-off
Managing defect resolution and ensuring all regulatory obligations are met
Supporting assistant and trainee surveyors as a mentor
Contributing to consistent service delivery and strong client relationshipsWhat you'll need:
BSR Registered Building Inspector - Level 2 (essential)
Chartered membership with RICS, CABE, or CIOB
Proven experience in plan appraisal and site inspection (ideally residential)
Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach
A solid understanding of Building Regs, QA systems, and inspection standards
