Job Opportunity: Class 2D+ Building Control Surveyor (Contract)
📍 Location: Lancashire | 💰 Rate: Up to £60/hour | 🕒 37 hrs/week | 📅 Contract: 12 months (initial)
Are you a skilled Building Control Surveyor looking for your next contract opportunity? We are currently seeking a Class 2D+ Building Control Surveyor to join a dynamic team within a forward-thinking local authority in Lancashire.
This is a 12-month initial contract offering up to £60 per hour, working 37 hours per week, with flexible working arrangements considered.
🔧 Role Responsibilities:
Carry out full range of building control duties, including plan checking and site inspections for a variety of domestic and commercial projects.
Ensure compliance with the Building Regulations and associated legislation.
Work closely with internal teams, developers, and contractors to deliver safe, compliant construction outcomes.
Manage your own caseload effectively and provide expert guidance and decision-making support.
✅ Requirements:
Class 2D+ registration under the Building Safety Regulator (BSR).
Proven experience in local authority or private sector building control.
Strong knowledge of current Building Regulations, legislation, and safety standards.
Excellent communication and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a diverse workload.
