Building Control Surveyor
Location: King Square, Bridgwater, TA6 3AR
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 6+ Months
Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00, 37 Hours per week
Pay rate: £ 41.54 per hour

Responsibilities
Conduct inspections and surveys of buildings to ensure compliance with building regulations and standards.
Provide expert advice on construction projects and building designs to ensure safety and compliance.
Assess and approve building plans and specifications submitted by developers and contractors.
Investigate and resolve issues related to building defects, safety concerns, and non-compliance.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to facilitate project completion.
Prepare detailed reports and documentation on inspections and findings.
Stay updated on changes in building regulations and industry standards.
Engage with stakeholders, including property owners, developers, and the public, to address concerns and provide guidance.
Person Specification
Relevant qualification in building surveying or a related field.
Proven experience in building control, surveying, or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of building regulations, standards, and construction processes.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring safety and compliance.
Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for surveying and reporting.
