Job Description
Belmont Recruitment are working in partnership with Bradford Council to recruit an experienced Building Control Surveyor to join their Regeneration & Culture Service on an initial 3-6 month temporary contract.
Key Responsibilities:

Inspect building works on site to ensure compliance with Building Regulations and associated legislation.
*
Check deposited plans and applications, providing professional advice to agents, architects, developers, and the public.
*
Investigate contraventions, irregularities, and dangerous structures, preparing reports and attending court where necessary.
*
Contribute to the delivery of building control services, including plan checking, site inspections, and public safety investigations.
*
Advise on compliance relating to fire safety, structural integrity, accessibility, and energy efficiency.
Requirements:
*
Working knowledge of Building Regulations, construction practices, dangerous structures, and safety requirements.
*
Experience inspecting buildings and checking plans for compliance.
*
Ability to provide clear, professional advice to stakeholders including architects, developers, and members of the public.
*
Must be Registered with the Building Safety Regulator as a Registered Building Inspector (RBI) to at least Class 2A.
*
Full driving licence and ability to work outdoors in all conditions.
