Building Logistics Lead (Construction) – Major Infrastructure Project
We’re supporting a major UK infrastructure project with the recruitment of an experienced Building Logistics Lead to take ownership of logistics delivery across assigned buildings on a large, complex construction site.
This is a senior, site-based leadership role suited to individuals who can manage multiple teams, interfaces and priorities while maintaining the highest standards of safety, planning and stakeholder engagement.

* Starting salary from £83,660.50 per annum
* £77,000 core salary
* Guaranteed project bonus of 8.65% (paid monthly)

The Role
As Building Logistics Lead, you will be responsible for leading and delivering all aspects of construction logistics within a defined building or area of responsibility. This includes operational planning, team leadership, coordination with construction teams, and ensuring safe and efficient movement of materials and equipment within complex building environments.
You’ll operate as a senior escalation point, line manage Building Logistics Managers, and play a key role in driving consistency, performance and best practice across the logistics function.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, manage and motivate Building Logistics Managers and their teams
* Deliver a safe, efficient and high‑quality building logistics service
* Plan and coordinate logistics activities with Building and Area Construction Leads
* Resource, recruit, train and deploy logistics teams to meet programme demands
* Maintain daily engagement with construction building managers and stakeholders
* Develop and maintain SOPs, RAMS and supporting logistics documentation
* Coordinate procurement planning and requisitions for logistics activities
* Ensure full compliance with HSE standards and site rules
* Lead incident investigations, reporting and safety stand-downs where required
* Act as the primary escalation point for people, performance, HR and IR matters
* Drive continuous improvement and operational innovation across logistics delivery
* Provide structured reporting to senior project stakeholders
Required Experience & Skills
* Proven experience leading logistics or operations teams on large construction projects
* Strong operational planning and stakeholder management capability
* Experience working in fast‑moving, complex, site‑based environments
* Confident managing multiple teams across geographically separated work fronts
* Clear and effective communication skills (verbal, written and IT)
* Hands-on leadership style with the ability to deal with changing priorities
Essential Requirements
-SMSTS (or equivalent construction management qualification)
-CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test – Manager/Professional level
-Valid passport
-Ability to work site-based on a major construction project
Desirable
-Experience within nuclear, power, M&E or highly regulated environments
-NEBOSH or equivalent HSE qualification
-Degree or higher education qualification
-Full UK driving licence
