Job Title: Building Services Director
Location: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
Salary: Up to £90,000

A well-established multi-disciplinary property and construction consultancy are looking for a Building Services Director to join their growing team in Cambridge.
The consultancy provides integrated design and technical expertise across a wide range of sectors including Commercial, Defence, Education, Residential and Public Sector developments. With multiple offices across the UK, the business delivers high-quality building design solutions and develops long-term partnerships with clients across the built environment.
You will be responsible for leading the Building Services team in Cambridge with a strong focus on project delivery, client relationship management and business development. This role will involve overseeing the delivery of Mechanical and Electrical building services design projects while supporting the growth and development of the Cambridge team.
As the Building Services Director, you will have the following responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the Building Services design team within the Cambridge office.
* Provide technical expertise across Mechanical and/or Electrical Building Services engineering.
* Support, mentor and develop engineers and designers within the team.
* Conduct performance reviews and identify training and development opportunities.
* Work closely with senior leadership to ensure internal systems, processes and project controls are effectively implemented.
* Take responsibility for identifying and securing new project opportunities for the Cambridge team.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
* Ensure designs and technical specifications are delivered to the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
* Monitor project financial performance and manage team fee targets and profitability.
* Maintain a strong commercial focus across projects and client relationships.
Successful applicants will have the following experience:
* Previous experience in a senior leadership role within a Building Services or MEP consultancy environment.
* Strong technical background within Mechanical and/or Electrical Building Services engineering.
* Proven track record in business development and developing client relationships.
* Strong commercial awareness including financial management and fee forecasting.
* Good understanding of the construction industry including contracts, frameworks and project delivery processes.
* Experience leading, mentoring and developing engineering teams.
* Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
* Degree qualified in a relevant discipline with professional accreditation such as CEng through CIBSE or IMechE preferred.
