Job Title: Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer
Location: Liverpool Street, London
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Salary: £45,000 - £48,000 per annum
Overtime: Available and paid at enhanced rates
Company Overview
Our client is a leading facilities management and building services provider, delivering technical maintenance solutions to prestigious commercial properties across London. Due to growth on a key contract, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer to join the on-site team.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on all electrical and mechanical building services systems within a high-end commercial environment. You'll ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the site while maintaining compliance, safety, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out electrical PPMs and reactive maintenance across the site.
Undertake fault-finding, testing, and repair on electrical systems and equipment.
Support with mechanical maintenance tasks where required (e.g., AHUs, FCUs, pumps, and motors).
Maintain and monitor critical systems including UPS, lighting, fire alarms, and emergency power.
Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Complete all site documentation and job reports accurately.
Assist with contractor management and site compliance checks.
Participate in overtime and out-of-hours work when required.
Key Systems & Equipment
Lighting, power, and distribution boards
Fire alarm and emergency lighting systems
HVAC systems (AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors)
UPS and generator systems
BMS monitoring and control
Requirements
Recognised electrical qualification (e.g., City & Guilds 2365 / 2330 / NVQ Level 3).
18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
Proven experience in building services / commercial maintenance.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of both electrical and mechanical building systems.
