Building Surveyor - 36% of Fee Income - No Cap Location: Rickmansworth (Hybrid Flexibility Considered) Commission-Based Role | 36% of Fee Income + £4K car allowance + Mileage Full-Time | Permanent | Employee Ownership Opportunity Up Front Recruitment is working with a highly regarded, employee-owned surveying practice to find an experienced Building Surveyor to join their expert team. This role offers true earning potential for the right individual with an outstanding 36% commission on personal fee income, plus a range of valuable benefits. The company generates all instructions internally, enabling the Building Surveyor to focus on delivering high-quality, professional reports. The successful candidate will be technically confident, self-motivated, and capable of producing Level 2 and 3 surveys to the highest standards. About the Role This position is ideal for a skilled Building Surveyor seeking both independence and support within a progressive, employee-owned organisation. The company fosters professional collaboration, continuous learning, and technical excellence across residential and commercial sectors. You’ll be based at their Rickmansworth office, with hybrid working considered after the probation period. As a key fee earner, you’ll be expected to generate a minimum of £200,000 in annual fees, with generous commission paid on all work billed. Key Responsibilities * Conduct high-quality Level 2 and Level 3 building surveys on residential and commercial properties * Identify, analyse and diagnose building defects and prepare clear, actionable reports * Communicate effectively with clients, offering expert advice and recommendations * Maintain accuracy, consistency, and professionalism in all aspects of report writing * Deliver outstanding service while meeting individual fee turnover expectations What’s on Offer * 36% commission on all personal fee income * No basic salary – unlimited earning potential for top-performing surveyors * Vehicle allowance of £4,000 gross per annum * Mileage allowance at 22p per business mile * 28 days paid holiday (including bank holidays) * Holiday pay based on average gross commission over previous 12 months * Annual professional membership fees paid * Workplace pension scheme: 5% employee / 3% employer contributions * Opportunity to become a stakeholder in an Employee Ownership Trust Ideal Candidate * Experience in residential and commercial surveys * Confident working independently * Strong technical knowledge, with proven report-writing ability * Commercially aware and driven to succeed in a performance-based environment * Excellent communication skills If you're a Building Surveyor ready to maximise your earnings and play a pivotal role in a forward-thinking, employee-owned firm this could be the perfect opportunity.
