Attention all Building Surveyors!
Blueprint Recruitment is excited to present an amazing opportunity with one of our leading clients! Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is eager to develop their career. This permanent role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with up to three days a week in the office in Guildford.
Our client is a well-established consultancy specialising in sectors such as commercial, industrial, retail, healthcare, insurance, historic, residential, education, and leisure.
Key Responsibilities:
-Prepare sketch plans, working drawings, and specifications.
-Conduct site inspections, attend site meetings, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure project efficiency.
-Follow existing working practices, methods, and procedures.
-Assist with feasibility studies and provide design advice.
-Produce designs, assessments, and reports in line with quality procedures.
-Advise on building maintenance, repairs, and refurbishment projects.
-Provide guidance on building regulations, planning permissions, and compliance with relevant legislation.
Key Requirements:
-Degree in Building Surveying or a related field.
-Strong understanding of surveying, construction principles, and methods.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Knowledge of construction methods, materials, contract procedures, landlord/tenant matters, and the Party Wall Act 1996.
-Proficiency with CAD design software and Microsoft Word/Excel.
-Working towards or recently achieved MRICS status.
