Job Description
Shunter / Fueller Cleaner (3-6 Month Contract)
Hours: 18:00-01:30
Pay: £12.92 per hour + holiday pay or £14.40 per hour (holiday pay included)
Schedule: 5-6 days per week on a rota
Location: Huddersfield HD2
Salary: (As above, depending on pay structure chosen)
Shift: Night shift
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our team, working at our client's premises. This role is essential in ensuring vehicles are safely fuelled, cleaned, and correctly positioned to support smooth daily operations.
Key Duties
Monitor the run-in area from the entrance to the fuel bay.
Identify and report defect buses, completing checklists provided at the start of the shift.
Clean the interiors of buses as required.
Collect vehicles from the fuelling bay, drive them through the wash, and park them in designated areas.
Retrieve vehicles from public spaces and outside bus garages, returning them to authorised parking areas.
Support deep-cleaning activities every 28 days, completing up to four deep cleans per night when required.
Fuel vehicles in line with company procedures and safety standards.
Role Requirements
Full UK driving licence.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a changing workload.
Understanding of all company and statutory requirements relating to working hours, health & safety, and operational procedures.
Willingness to adhere to all company policies and safe working practices.
