Business Development Account Manager Job in Blandford
We are proud to be working with our client in Blandford who represent clients by driving engagement, growth, and retention. As their Business Development Account Manager, you will act as the main point of contact for assigned clients; managing relationships, coordinating activity, and ensuring projects and campaigns run smoothly. This role also involves proactive communication to generate new opportunities, strengthen partnerships, and support clients’ business development goals.
We’re after someone who’s commercially minded, highly organised, and confident managing multiple priorities. Strong communication, time management, and people skills are essential.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Act as the primary contact for your client accounts, ensuring consistent communication and excellent service.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities in line with client objectives and core sectors.
* Make proactive outreach to develop new leads, nurture prospects, and strengthen relationships.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders.
* Develop and execute tailored account growth and engagement strategies.
* Provide clients with regular updates, reports, and insights.
* Keep client reporting and CRM systems (HubSpot) up to date.
* Gather and act on client feedback to continuously improve service delivery.
* Coach and support Account Executives to develop their skills and confidence.
* Report regularly on progress, pipeline, and opportunities.
* Significant experience in account management, sales, or business development, ideally client-facing.
Minimum Skills and Experience:
* Ideally, proven success in at least one of these focus sectors: Decarbonisation, Marine, Contracting, or Construction.
* Confident conducting outbound calls and developing relationships from first contact through to long-term partnership.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Excellent time management, organisation, and attention to detail.
* Proactive problem solver with a practical, “can-do” approach.
* Experience using HubSpot CRM (or similar) to track progress and performance.
* Ideally 5+ years in business development or client management.
* Honest, transparent, and a genuine team player.
* Adaptable, responsive, and comfortable working independently.
* Strong interpersonal skills with high emotional intelligence.
* Commercially aware and aligned with the business objectives.
* Self-motivated, resilient, and driven to achieve results.
* Excellent written and verbal communication.
* Proficient in HubSpot and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
