Their Shoreham office is a hub for business development and project support, and they’re now seeking a motivated Business Development Assistant/ Administrator to help drive growth in the UK market.
The Role
As Business Development Assistant, you’ll be the right hand to the Business Development Manager. This is a varied, fast-paced role suited to someone confident, organised, and proactive—keen to support client engagement, project acquisition, and business development initiatives from first contact through to client care.
Key Responsibilities

Support the Business Development Manager across client engagement and lead generation.
*
Assist with preparing, coordinating, and submitting Tenders and PQQs, ensuring deadlines, compliance, and professional presentation.
*
Maintain the CRM with accurate, up-to-date information.
*
Coordinate industry events, conferences, and networking activities.
*
Communicate with clients and prospects via email, phone, and face-to-face.
*
Draft and edit client proposals, presentations, and marketing materials.
*
Manage travel arrangements, diaries/calendars, and appointment scheduling.
*
Track live opportunities and tender deadlines.
*
Support internal project management processes and follow up on action points.
*
Monitor industry activity, client movements, and emerging opportunities.
*
Help organise client visits, site tours, and meetings.
*
Identify new sectors or areas of opportunity within civil engineering and construction.
*
Represent our client professionally with a client-first attitude.
What We’re Looking For

Experience in a business support/administrative/assistant role
*
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
*
Confident with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and CRM systems.

Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
*
High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
