Business Development Executive – Step Into the World of Global Logistics

We’re recruiting on behalf of a rapidly expanding international logistics company with a reputation for delivering smart, efficient freight solutions across the globe. Established in 2009, the business continues to grow at pace and is now looking to bring on a driven and energetic Business Development Executive.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident B2B sales professional to break into the freight industry or continue developing within it. Prior experience in freight forwarding is highly desirable, but not essential — full training is provided for the right candidate. The key is hunger, energy, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment.
Responsibilities
*
Proactively generate new business through outbound calls, follow-ups, and lead generation
*
Reconnect with lapsed clients and uncover fresh opportunities within existing accounts
*
Manage the end-to-end sales process from initial contact to closing deals
*
Qualify prospects and tailor solutions to suit their freight requirements
*
Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and manage your own pipeline
*
Hit daily and monthly targets in both activity and revenue
*
Continuously improve product knowledge and understanding of freight forwarding services
About You
*
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in outbound B2B sales or telesales
*
Freight or logistics experience is a strong advantage but not essential
*
Proven ability to build rapport quickly and close new business
*
Resilient, enthusiastic, and highly motivated by targets and commissions
*
Experience in similar sectors such as parcel delivery, office supplies, or distribution will be considered
*
Comfortable working in a busy, high-pressure, phone-based sales environment
*
Tech-savvy with experience using CRM systems and Excel
*
Must be office-based five days a week — remote or hybrid working is not available

Consistent volume of outbound calls and qualified leads

Revenue and gross profit generated from new and existing clients
*
Conversion rate of opportunities into long-term business

Contribution to wider team performance and growth objectives
