Job Description

Business Development Executive Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 (DOE) + Commission (up to £60,000 OTE) Work with leading scientists | Drive international growth About the Role of the Business Development Executive. Our client is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Executive to join their close-knit sales team at Baltimore Innovations, a family-owned specialist business with an outstanding reputation in the scientific and healthcare sectors. This is a unique opportunity to combine technical expertise with commercial drive. You’ll identify new customers, expand product offerings with existing clients, and represent the business at international trade shows. While 90% of the role is telephone-based sales, you’ll also engage in face-to-face client visits and overseas business trips. You’ll be joining a stable, supportive team of five other sales professionals, reporting directly to the Commercial Director. Their people stay for the long term, most of their team have been with them for between 5 and 20 years and they invest heavily in training and mentoring to help you succeed. What You’ll Do as the Business Development Executive, * Proactively drive new sales opportunities and cross-sell to existing customers * Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients across multiple sectors * Attend international trade shows and client visits (with travel required) * Prepare accurate customer quotes in multiple currencies * Utilise CRM and sales tools to track activity and performance Must-Have Requirements for the Business Development Executive, * A 2.1 or 1st Class University Degree in a Science subject * At least 2 years’ experience in a technical sales role, with proven results * Excellent oral and written English communication skills * Strong numeracy skills (minimum GCSE Maths grade C or above) – a short numeracy exercise will be part of the interview * Lives (or willing to relocate) within commutable distance of the Head Office * Confident with MS Word and MS Excel * A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel internationally Preferred Skills (Desirable, not essential) * Fluency in a non-English European language * Prior experience using a CRM system * Sales experience in the Medical or Healthcare sector What they offer the Business Development Executive; * Competitive salary £40,000 – £50,000 DOE * Commission structure with potential to earn up to £60,000 extra per year * Company mobile phone * Company pension scheme * 23 days holiday (rising to 30 days with service) * A relaxing office location by the Upper Thames * Excellent training and mentoring * A supportive, fun, and long-standing sales team If you’re an ambitious, scientifically minded sales professional looking to make a global impact while working in a stable, supportive, and rewarding environment they’d love to hear from you.
