Salary: €80,000-€100,000 base + approx. €80,000 OTE + benefits
Commission: Approx. 4.5% of revenue, paid upon client signature

We are seeking a highly capable Business Development Director to lead new client acquisition across Ireland for a global digital engineering organisation. This role suits an ambitious BDM with strong tenure, exceptional relationship-building capability and a consultative sales style.
This is a pivotal role in a rapidly expanding territory, offering significant growth potential and long-term progression.

Our client is a respected digital engineering and software-development consultancy with more than 2,000 experts worldwide. They partner with leading global brands to design and build high-performance digital products, platforms and customer experiences.
Their expertise spans custom software engineering, cloud-native development, digital transformation, UX and product design, mobile applications, AI/automation, quality engineering and managed digital delivery.
Role Overview
This is a new-logo, hunter-focused role with responsibility for building the organisation's footprint in Ireland. You will:
* Create and develop a strong pipeline of new business opportunities
* Identify and win new enterprise clients across Retail, E-commerce, Technology, FinTech/FS, Travel, Media and adjacent sectors
* Engage senior technology and digital leaders (CTO, CIO, Head of Digital, Head of Product, Engineering Director)
* Lead consultative sales cycles from initial contact to deal closure
* Work with internal solution architects and pre-sales teams to craft high-impact proposals
* Represent the organisation in the Irish digital/technology market
* Report into a senior European leadership team and collaborate globally
Candidate Profile
Essential requirements:
* 5-15 years in consultative B2B sales or business development
* Consistent career tenure (limited job-hopping)
* Successful record of selling software development / digital engineering / IT consulting services
* Ability to develop pipeline from scratch and win new accounts
* Experience selling into Ireland or an existing network across Irish enterprise clients
* Strong understanding of digital product development and engineering delivery
* Business-fluent English
* Confident engaging with senior-level stakeholders
Desirable attributes:
* Experience in sectors such as Retail, E-commerce, FinTech/FS, Travel or Media
* Entrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial judgement
* Collaborative, proactive and self-driven
Compensation & Benefits
* €80,000-€100,000 base salary
