Salary: Up to £60,000 basic + Bonus + Company Car or Car Allowance

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a growing specialist contractor within the façade and external envelope sector. This role is ideal for a driven sales professional with a strong network across the construction industry and a proven track record of securing new business opportunities.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing relationships with main contractors, developers, architects, consultants, and key stakeholders to support continued business growth across façade and building envelope projects.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities within the façade, cladding and external envelope market.
Build and maintain strong relationships with main contractors, developers, architects and specifiers.
Engage with project decision-makers from early design stages through to contract award.
Generate and manage a healthy pipeline of opportunities.
Attend client meetings, networking events and industry exhibitions.
Collaborate with estimating, pre-construction and technical teams to develop winning proposals.
Monitor market activity, competitor movements and emerging project opportunities.
Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts.
Deliver against agreed sales targets and growth objectives.

Candidate Requirements

Previous experience in a Business Development Manager, Sales Manager or Key Account Manager position.
Strong background within facades, cladding, rainscreen, external envelope, curtain walling, roofing, building envelope, or wider construction sectors.
Established network of contacts across contractors, developers, architects and consultants.
Proven ability to generate and convert new business opportunities.
Commercially minded with excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently.
Full UK Driving Licence.
