Business Development Manager – Flat Roof Testing (Nationwide)

We’re hiring on behalf of our client, a leading specialist in roofing solutions – for a Business Development Manager to join their growing Flat Roof Testing Division.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially driven individual with experience in roofing, construction, or testing services, who is passionate about building relationships and driving growth.
The Role:
As the Business Development Manager, you'll play a key role in driving the success of the Flat Roof Testing Division. You will be responsible for developing new business, managing contracts, and ensuring seamless project delivery in collaboration with internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Growth
* Identify new sales opportunities and generate leads within the flat roofing/testing market
* Build and nurture relationships with contractors, consultants, and facilities/property managers
* Prepare and present persuasive sales proposals and presentations
Contract & Project Management
* Oversee contract negotiations and ensure compliance with safety, legal, and company standards
* Coordinate with operations teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope
* Monitor project performance and address any client issues or disputes
Market & Strategy Insight
* Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and changes in regulations
* Provide market feedback to support strategic planning and marketing initiatives
Reporting
* Maintain accurate records using CRM systems
* Regularly report on KPIs, sales activity, and forecasts
What We're Looking For:
* Proven background in B2B sales, ideally within the roofing or construction sector
* Strong understanding of flat roofing systems and materials (preferred but not essential)
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms
* On-site experience is desirable
