BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER | MAIN CONTRACTOR | HERTFORDSHIRE
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 + Bonus + Progression
Sectors: Education, Healthcare, Leisure
Project Value: Up to £5m
Employment: Full-Time, Permanent
A dynamic and growing main contractor is looking for a driven Business Development Manager to join their team.
You’ll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing relationships, and driving growth across the public and private sectors. The company delivers quality builds up to £5m across education, healthcare, and leisure — and is well regarded for doing things properly.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in main contracting who’s confident in their ability to connect, present, and represent the brand with credibility and energy.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Researching, identifying, and approaching potential clients
*
Attending networking events and industry functions
*
Managing client relationships and maintaining a strong pipeline
*
Working closely with the Pre-Construction and Estimating teams
*
Creating proposals and assisting with tender submissions
We’re Looking For Someone Who:

Comes from a main contracting background – understands construction

Has strong communication and relationship-building skills
*
Is based in or around Hertfordshire and understands the local market
*
Is career-driven, confident, and able to work on their own initiative
