Role – Business Development Manager (Engineering)
Location – Merseyside
Type – Permanent (Hybrid working set-up)
Salary – Circa £55,000- £65,000 per annum plus Commission
My client works within the manufacture of equipment, and they are looking to take on a Business Development Manager, on a permanent basis.
The Business Development Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
Previous Business Development Management experience in a similar type of technical engineering environment (preferably with capital equipment)
Degree qualified in Engineering, Business or a similar subject ideally
Exposure to the Process, Special Purpose Machinery or Pharmaceutical sectors would be beneficial
Be very familiar with the whole BD process
Be confident pitching engineering solutions and the service to third parties
Excellent presentation skills
Have a good appreciation of mechanical and electrical engineering and system integration
Be computer literate; proficient with using Microsoft Office and CRM software
Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Have strong customer relationship building skills
Have a great commercial awareness and negotiation skills
Be able to organise your own workloadThe Business Development Manager role will involve:
Driving business and sales growth for a reputable company
Looking to expand the market presence
Identifying new business opportunities
Working closely with customers and managing those relationships
Liaising with the technical engineering team working on converting enquiries and quotes into orders
Taking charge of the sales cycle from lead generation through to the completion of orders
Working with CRM records maintaining accurate sales records
Attending customer sites and events in the industry to promote the company
Be involved in maintaining and also improving all client relationships
Market and Strategy Development monitoring market trends
