About the Role
We're working with a specialist provider of high-quality solutions, supporting the construction of apartments, blocks, and student accommodation. As their new Business Development Manage, you will play a key role in driving sales growth by targeting architects, M&E contractors, developers, and other key decision-makers across the construction industry.
You'll be responsible for building long-term client relationships and identifying commercial opportunities, delivering tailored, compliant, and technically robust solutions across a wide portfolio of projects.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in the large-scale construction sector.
Build and nurture relationships with architects, consultants, contractors, and developers.
Deliver compelling sales presentations that align with industry standards and specific project needs.
Produce detailed and accurate quotations, proposals, and scopes of work.
Support the seamless handover of projects to delivery teams, ensuring clear communication.
Attend post-order meetings, providing ongoing client support throughout project lifecycles.
Develop technical case studies to showcase successful installations and solutions.
Maintain accurate CRM records and stay informed on the latest fire safety and ventilation regulations.About You
Proven track record in B2B sales within the construction sector.
Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and client relationship skills.
Confident working independently and proactively within a technical sales environment.
Comfortable interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and project documents.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.Highly Desirable
Familiarity with smoke ventilation systems and fire safety regulations.
Background in Building Services, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management.
Understanding of M&E contracting and the full project lifecycle from design to installation.
Existing network within the construction or M&E sectors.What's in it for you?
