W Talent are excited to be partnering with a growing Clean Energy business focused on Biomass, Solar and Heat Pumps. This business based in Leicestershire are looking to add a Head of Sales to deliver against an exciting growth plan reporting into the Managing Director If you are ready to take the lead in driving the UK's transition to clean, renewable energy then this role could be for you. We're seeking a dynamic, commercially-minded Head of Sales to spearhead growth in the solar and broader renewable energy space. With a strong foundation in biomass and solar, this business is now expanding into technologies like heat pumps and beyond. This role is more than sales,it's about shaping the future. You'll be at the forefront of the business mission to deliver cutting-edge solar and low-carbon systems to commercial and industrial clients across the UK. You will be targeted on sales growth and also an opportunity to grow a robust UK sales team. The role will also including Personally deliver £10m+ in annual sales across the business Own and close high-value opportunities, this is a hands-on sales role. Identify, scope, and convert new project opportunities nationwide. Build and nurture long-term relationships with consultants, contractors, and end users. Promote and grow the service and maintenance offering. Apply knowledge of funding models and industry trends to drive strategy and growth. Collaborate with in-house engineering and delivery teams to ensure project success. Support strategic expansion into adjacent markets like heat pumps.Background Proven B2B sales professional with 5+ years in commercial solar or renewable energy. Demonstrated track record of personally closing large-scale projects. Technically capable, with a strong grasp of solar systems, funding structures, and tools like SolarEdge. Ideally holds an electrical qualification and understands M&E environments. Brings existing sector relationships to unlock immediate value. Resilient, proactive, and driven Comfortable with cold outreach and building pipelines of work. Entrepreneurial mindset with the commercial acumen to identify and scale opportunities.
