Job Description

Business Development Manager Job Type: Full time, permanent Salary: Up to £50,000 + Great Package (Commission, travel, etc) Location(s): National (Based out of Chorley) – Hybrid Working The role: The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, developing strategic plans for business growth, and conducting market research to support business expansion. The responsibilities: * Proven experience as a Business Development Manager or in a similar role, ideally within the security and facilities management industry. * Strong sales background with a demonstrable track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets. * Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills. * Ability to build strong relationships and networks with clients and key stakeholders. * Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. * Highly self-motivated with a proactive approach to identify and pursue new business opportunities. * Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite. * A full UK driving license is required. Experience, Skills and Qualifications: * B2B experience – working in highly reactive commercial environment * Strong negotiating and influencing skills with clients at all levels * A proven track record of consistently achieving targets * Ability to prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines * Excellent communication skills * Strong IT skills in CRM tools and ability to interrogate and present sales data * Strong commercial awareness around pricing to deliver the required gross/net margins * Ability to establish and maintain excellent client relationships * An empathetic and understanding approach to operational challenges * Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) * An excellent networker with high level interpersonal skills * Ability to develop effective working relationships across all levels of management and staff * Highly customer focussed and always looking to deliver a high quality of service for clients * Ability to deliver quality results under pressure and prioritise work * A highly disciplined and work focussed individual with high self-motivation * Competence in Microsoft Office products especially Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint * Calm, confident manner to handle potentially uncomfortable conversations * Excellent time management skills, and ability to prioritise a demanding workload * Ability to hold employee and client information in the strictest confidence
