Business Development Manager
Hybrid – Manchester Office (once or twice a month)
£50,000 - £65,000 Basic plus Car Allowance + Business Mileage + Defined, Uncapped Commission + Holidays + Pension + Package

Join the North-West division of the UK’s leading provider of energy and compliance services for both businesses and homes. As Business Development Manager, you’ll take full ownership of the sales process from identifying commercial opportunities to closing contracts. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you’ll play a key role in driving business growth. In return, you’ll have the autonomy to make things happen, the backing of subject matter experts and a strong operational team and the opportunity to earn exceptionally well
Key Duties
* 360 sales of the companies services – Solar PV, Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP), Combined Heat & Power (CHP) and Electrical Principles & Applications
* Research potential new leads and engage to generate business opportunities across the private sector
* Identify the client’s and stakeholder’s needs, navigate their potentially complex decision-making processes
* Revisit previous private and public sector clients to generate repeat business opportunities
* Engage clients identified by the bid team at early (PIN) stage of market engagement to understand their business goals, add value and differentiate our offer ready for release of formal tender and receipt of our tender bid
* Meet quarterly and annual KPI targets for targeted lead generation and weighted pipeline £, providing regular forecast updates and performance data to internal stakeholders
Experience Required
* Experience within the Renewable Energy industry (i.e. Solar PV & Heat Pumps etc.)
* Sales background – Business Development Manager / Sales Manager etc.
* Full Driving Licence
* Ability to navigate the full sales process from prospecting to completion of sales
* Happy to travel into Manchester office 1/2 times a month
