Job Title: Business Development Manager – Manned Guarding Security Location: Remote Reports To: Sales Director / Commercial Director Salary: Competitive + Commission + Benefits Type: Full-time, Permanent Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead our growth efforts within the manned guarding security sector. This role is ideal for a dynamic professional with a proven track record in B2B sales, particularly within security services, who thrives on identifying opportunities, building strong client relationships, and securing long-term contracts. The successful candidate will be instrumental in expanding our client base across key sectors including corporate offices, construction, retail, public sector, and critical infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: * Identify, target, and develop new business opportunities within manned guarding and associated security services * Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across multiple sectors * Lead the end-to-end sales cycle from prospecting to contract signature, including RFI/RFP responses, tender writing, presentations, and pricing proposals * Collaborate with operational teams to ensure service deliverables align with client expectations and contractual commitments * Represent the company at industry events, networking meetings, and exhibitions to enhance brand visibility * Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets and KPIs * Maintain and update CRM records, ensuring accurate reporting on pipeline, forecasts, and sales activities * Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging customer needs to shape commercial strategy Requirements: * Proven experience (3+ years) in a business development or sales role within the manned guarding or broader security services industry * Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets * Strong understanding of manned guarding operations and regulatory compliance (e.g., SIA licensing, BS 7499 & BS 7858) * Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills * Ability to write compelling proposals and tender responses * Self-motivated, target-driven, and highly organised * Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel for client meetings Desirable: * Existing network of industry contacts and prospective clients * Experience using CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) * Understanding of integrated security solutions (CCTV, access control, remote monitoring, etc.) What We Offer: * Competitive base salary with uncapped commission structure * Company car or car allowance * Pension scheme and performance-related bonuses * Career development opportunities and training support * A supportive team environment focused on quality, safety, and service excellence
