Job Title: Business Development Manager – Public Sector
Salary: £40,000–£60,000 basic + £20k OTE (uncapped)
Location: Leeds HQ (with national travel)

About the Role
Our client is seeking a driven Business Development Manager to lead growth in the UK Public Sector, with a focus on Police, Fire & Rescue services. You’ll be selling cutting-edge drone and software solutions that improve operational efficiency, safety, and decision-making in critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
*
Win new business within Police, Fire, and wider Public Sector accounts
*
Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, demos, proposals, closing deals
*
Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders (Ops Heads, Procurement, C-suite)
*
Understand operational challenges and tailor drone tech solutions accordingly
*
Collaborate with in-house experts across tech, training, and support
*
Represent our client at industry events, exhibitions, and live demos
*
Meet and exceed sales targets using a consultative, strategic approach
The Ideal Candidate
*
2+ years of B2B sales experience (tech/SaaS/solutions sales preferred)
*
Proven success working with Public Sector clients and procurement frameworks
*
Comfortable engaging at senior levels across organizations
*
Knowledge of Bluelight services (Police, Fire) is a significant advantage
*
Strong ability to explain and sell complex technology solutions
*
Self-motivated and comfortable managing longer sales cycles
*
Willing to travel UK-wide for demos (2–4 times per month)
*
Full-time office-based role in Leeds HQ
*
Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 08:30–17:30 (4pm finish on Fridays); occasional weekend travel
