Our client, a well-established contractor with over 15 years of experience delivering high-quality new build, fit-out, and refurbishment projects across London and the surrounding areas, is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their expanding team.

Specialising in projects ranging from £1m to £25m across commercial, education, residential, industrial, leisure, and community sectors, the company has earned a reputation for clear communication, sustainable practices, and strong client relationships — with over 70% of business coming from repeat clients.
The Role
Due to continued growth and strategic focus on expanding into the Northern Home Counties (including West London, Thames Valley, and nearby regions), the company is looking for an ambitious and proactive Business Development Manager to identify and convert new business opportunities while nurturing relationships with new and existing clients.
Key Responsibilities

Identify and pursue new business opportunities across key sectors in target regions
*
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, developers, and other stakeholders
*
Collaborate with preconstruction and estimating teams on PQQs, tender submissions, and presentations
*
Prepare and design high-quality bid documents and marketing materials
*
Manage and update the CRM system to track leads and client interactions
*
Represent the business at networking events, exhibitions, and industry functions
*
Provide market insights to inform company strategy and decision-making
*
Promote the company’s brand, values, and track record as a key ambassador
What We're Looking For
*
Proven experience in a business development or client-facing role within the construction industry - open to differing levels of expeirence
*
Strong understanding of the tender process and bid document preparation
*
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
*
Highly organised, self-motivated, and confident working autonomously
*
Comfortable with hybrid working – a mix of office, remote, and on-the-road/client-facing activity
