Business Development Manager – Steel Portal Frames Location: South West / South Wales Salary: Competitive package + benefits Reports to: Managing Director About the Company Our client, a market leader in steel fencing systems, is expanding its product portfolio to include cold rolled steel building systems. With a strong reputation built over nearly two decades, the company continues to deliver quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction across the UK. The Opportunity: Due to sustained growth, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with a proven track record in cold rolled steel building systems. This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to shape and drive the company’s entry into a high-growth market segment. Key Responsibilities: * Lead Generation: Identify and engage new business opportunities through networking, prospecting, and relationship-building. * Client Engagement: Build and maintain partnerships with key decision-makers in procurement, sustainability, and project management. * Solution Design: Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored proposals and technical solutions that align with client needs. * Sales Process Management: Oversee the full sales cycle from initial enquiry and negotiation through to contract completion. * CRM & Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records of all opportunities, providing clear reporting on pipeline progress and sales performance. About You: * Proven background in sales or business development within the cold rolled steel or steel building systems sector - essential * Minimum of 5 years’ B2B sales experience. * Proactive and results-driven, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. * Adaptable, resilient, and comfortable managing change in a dynamic environment. * High personal integrity and a commitment to delivering excellence.
